İbn Sînâ, mantık, matematik, tıp, astronomi, fizik gibi çeşitli alanlarda birçok eser vermiş Müslüman bir filozoftur. Yunan felsefî geleneğini ayrıntılı ve eleştirel bir biçimde incelemiş, oradan elde ettiği verileri İslâm düşüncesi ile birleştirerek özgün fikirler sunmuştur. İbn Sînâ; Gazzâlî ve İbn Rüşd gibi kendisine muhalif olanlar da dâhil olmak üzere bazı Müslüman filozofları etkilemiştir. Ayrıca ondan, özellikle on ikinci yüzyıl ortaları on üçüncü yüzyıl sonları arasında yaşayan bazı Batılı filozoflar da etkilenmiştir.
Ibn Sina is a Muslim philosopher who has done many works in various fields such as logic, mathematics, medicine, astronomy, physics. He studied the Greek philosophical tradition in a detail and critical manner, and presented original ideas by combining the data he obtained from it with the Islamic thought. The Muslim philosophy has influenced some Muslim philosophers, including those who are opposed to him, such as Gazzali and Ibn Rushd. It has also been influenced by some Western philosophers who lived between the late thirteen century, especially in the middle of the twelfth century.
