Akıl İslam düşünce geleneğinde geçmişten günümüze önemini korumuş, epistemoloji ve ontolojinin konusu olmuş, kelam, felsefe ve tasavvufun ortak kavramı olarak her zaman tartışılmış bir kavram olarak güncelliğini korumaktadır. İslam felsefesi özelinde bakıldığında özellikle Fârâbî akıl konusunda sudûr teorisi ekseninde epistemoloji ve ontolojiyi ile harmanlanmış bir şekilde aklı izah etmeye çalışmıştır. İbn Sînâ diğer konularda olduğu gibi akıl konusunda da Fârâbî felsefesini bir adım ileriye taşımış ve detaylandırmıştır. İbn Rüşd ise kendinden önceki felsefenin bir kısmını kabul ederek bir kısmını eleştiriye tabi tutarak farklı bir veçheden konuya odaklanmıştır. Kavramsal zeminde akıl ile ilgili açıklamalar Tanrı- âlem- insan ilişkileri konularında olduğu gibi gözle görülür açıklıkta olmadığı ve insanın anlam arayışında aklın oldukça önemli bir pozisyonda olması nedeniyle güncelliğini korumaktadır.
The Islamic mind preserves its importance in the tradition of thought from the past to the present, the subject of epistemology and ontology, as a common concept of kelam, philosophy and tasavvuf, always discussed. The Islamic philosophy, in particular, has tried to explain the mind in a combination with epistemology and ontology in the water theory axis, especially in the Farabian mind. As in other subjects, Ibn Sina has moved his philosophy a step forward and detailed. In this case, it is important to note that a part of the philosophy before him has been accepted and a part of the philosophy has been submitted to criticism and a part of the philosophy has been focused on the subject from a different part. In the conceptual background, the explanations of the mind preserves its up-to-date due to the fact that it is not visible as in the subjects of God-universe-human relations and that the mind is in a very important position in man’s search for meaning.
