Abstract:

In the changing world order, social institutions are going to various changes in the face of the needs of the age. It is also extremely important that educational institutions that play a key role in shaping the future of the countries also adapt to the changes in accordance with the needs of the age. This is due to the key position of the educational institutions at the point of education of individuals. In this context, the teachers in the center of the educational activities in the educational institutions are also extremely important to be compatible with the innovations. The study aims to study the opinions of teachers candidates on the concept of innovative learning. The study’s work group is determined by the sample method and consists of teachers candidates who are studying in the 2020-2021 educational year at the University of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir School of Education in Social Information Education Main Science Department. In this section 4. Teachers candidates who study at class level and participate in the teaching practice course have been included in the research according to the essence of volunteering. In the study, semi-configured conversations were used as a data collection tool. On the other hand, the pandemic conditions have taken place online. In the research methods of quality research has been used the case study model. The case study is seen as a distinctive approach used in search of answers to scientific questions. The research concluded that social information teachers candidates were not aware of innovative learning, although they expressed their knowledge of innovative learning. Teacher candidates mixed with more innovative learning concepts and answered questions in this way. Teachers candidates have stated that innovative learning practices are not used in the bachelor’s training process, but that they will include innovative learning practices in the training-learning process if appropriate conditions are found when they start the profession.
