Yerli Turistlerin ve Ziyaretçilerin Destinasyon İmaj Algılarını Belirlemeye Yönelik Bir Araştırma: Edirne Örneği

Çalışmada Türkiye’nin önemli kültür ve tarih destinasyonlarından Edirne ilini ziyaret eden yerli turistlerin destinasyon imajı algılarının ölçülmesi ve sahip oldukları imaj düzeylerini oluşturan unsurların belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu kapsamda 1-7 Temmuz 2019 tarihlerinde düzenlenen 658. Kırkpınar Yağlı Güreşleri’ni yerinde takip etmek üzere Edirne’yi ziyaret eden yerli turistlere uygulanmak üzere hazırlanmış anket formları toplam 300 yerli turiste yüz yüze iletişim kurularak ulaştırılmıştır. Geri dönüş sağlanan anketlerden 18 tanesi aynı cevap alanının birden fazla kodlanmasından ve 12 tanesi de cevap kodlarının %50’den fazlasının boş bırakılmasından dolayı değerlendirme dışında bırakılmıştır. 270 anket formu ile yapılan analizler (SPSS) sonucunda yerli turistlerin genel olarak destinasyondan memnun ayrıldıkları (%84), tekrar destinasyonu ziyaret etmek istedikleri (%80), destinasyon imaj algılarının (%83) ve genel olarak destinasyon arzu seviyelerinin (%85) çok yüksek düzeyinde gerçekleştiği belirlenmiştir. Diğer taraftan yerli turistlerin az bir kısmı destinasyondan genel olarak memnun ayrılmadıklarını (%16) ve destinasyonu tekrar ziyaret etmek istemediklerini (%20) ifade etmişlerdir.

A Study Aimed At Determining The Destination Image Perceptions Of Indigenous Tourists and Visitors: Examples

The study aims to measure the perceptions of the destination image of the indigenous tourists who visit the province of Edirne from the important cultural and historical destinations of Turkey and to determine the elements that form the image levels they have. In this scope, 658 were held from 1 to 7 July 2019. The survey forms prepared to be applied to local tourists visiting Edirne to follow the Kırkpınar Oil Competition on the site were sent to a total of 300 local tourists by contacting face-to-face. 18 of the returned surveys were left out of assessment due to more than one coding of the same response field and 12 were left out of assessment because more than 50% of the response codes were left empty. According to an analysis by 270 survey forms (SPSS), local tourists are generally satisfied with their destination (84 percent), what they want to visit again (80 percent), destination image perceptions (83 percent) and overall destination desire levels (85 percent) at a very high level. On the other hand, a few indigenous tourists said they were not generally satisfied with the destination (%16) and they did not want to visit the destination again (%20).

The research also aims to determine the elements that made up the image levels of these tourists. In this context, questionnaires prepared for domestic tourists visiting Edirne to follow 658. Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling organized on 1-7 July 2019 were delivered to them by face-to-face communication. 18 of the returned questionnaires were excluded from the evaluation due to multiple coding of the same answer field and 12 of them were excluded from the evaluation since more than 50% of the answer codes were left blank. As a result of the analyzes (SPSS) conducted with 270 questionnaire forms; it was determined that domestic tourists were generally satisfied with the destination (84%), they wanted to revisit the destination (80%) and that their destination image perceptions (83%) and destination desire levels (85%) were very high. On the other hand, a small number of domestic tourists stated that they were generally not satisfied with the destination (16%) and did not want to revisit the destination (20%).
