Abstract:

The aim of the study is to determine what the expectations of teachers candidates from the universities are to identify the levels of life skills and improve the levels of life skills. It is also aimed at the course of this study that teachers’ life skills are differentiated according to the variables of participation in second university reading and social-cultural events. The work is designed as a karma method. It is preferred by the karma methods. In the study, the universe has identified the teachers' candidates. An analysis was carried out by a total of 330 teachers candidates. The Personal Information Form and Life Skills scale have been used as a means of data collection. In the qualitative section of the study, a semi-configured conversation form was used. Research findings have found that the level of life skills of the teachers candidates is high. Also, a large majority of teaching candidates who participated in the interview in the qualification section of the research have emphasized that university education contributes positively to life skills.
