Abstract:

Paradise, which is the place of eternal bliss for believers, is described in the Qur'an and hadith, which are the main sources of Islam, and the blessings of this land of bliss belonging to the realm of the unseen are embodied through the objects and situations that people see in the realm of martyrdom. In fact, it is not possible to know the nature of the blessings of paradise exactly, and this fact has been expressed in various verses of the Qur'an. Fakhr al-Din al-Râzî, one of the leading names in the interpretation of dirayat, also stated that it is not correct to use definitive statements about the nature of heaven. In his commentary, Fakhr al-Din al-Râzî tried to interpret the verses about paradise in the light of the data of the revelation period and in line with the principle of mutashabihism and stated that the blessings of paradise are far superior and different from the blessings of the world. In addition, al-Râzî made extensive explanations by including philosophical proofing methods as well as language and rhetoric analyses. Moreover, he did not only use the method of guidance; He also benefited from the method of narration by giving place to hadiths, the words of the companions and the Tabi'un, and the views of some scholars. By making use of these materials, al-Râzî has interpreted the verses about the descriptions of paradise from various angles. The fact that al-Râzî, who tried to learn various sciences in his lifetime, benefited from the data of sciences such as theology, medicine, astronomy and rhetoric while interpreting the verses, reveals his versatile scientific personality.
