Ortaokulda Doğrudan Kazandırılacak Değerlerin Vatandaşlık Ve Demokrasi Eğitimi Kitabına Yansıma Düzeyleri

Değerlerin kazandırılmasında etkili bir programın hazırlanmasının yanı sıra ders kitapları da önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Vatandaşlık ve Demokrasi Eğitimi dersinde, öğretmenlerin ve öğrencilerin birincil kaynak olarak kullandıkları ve takip ettikleri ders kitaplarında bu değerlerin hangilerinin yer aldığı, değerlere ne kadar yer verildiği, hangilerinin daha sık vurgulandığı büyük bir önem taşımaktadır.Ortaokul 8. Sınıf Vatandaşlık ve Demokrasi Eğitimi Dersi kitaplarında değerlere yer verilme durumunu belirlemeye yönelik olarak gerçekleştirilen bu araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden döküman incelemesi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda; 8. sınıf Vatandaşlık ve Demokrasi Eğitimi Dersi programında doğrudan kazandırılacak değerlere hangi ünitede ne kadar sıklıkla ve ne şekilde yer verildiği belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu araştırmada 2012-2013 eğitim –öğretim yılında 8.sınıflarda Vatandaşlık ve Demokrasi Eğitimi Dersinde kullanılan öğretmen kılavuz kitabı, ders kitabı ve çalışma kitapları incelenmek üzere ele alınmıştır. Öğretim programlarında kazandırılması hedeflenen 19 değerden özsaygı ve diğergamlık değerleri ünite içerisinde doğrusundan kazandırılacak değerler arasında yer almadığından dolayı geriye kalan 17 değer esas alınmıştır.Sonuç olarak, ünitelerin tamamı dikkate alındığında en fazla bahsedilen değer sorumluluk (129) olup bunu sırasıyla, millî, manevi ve evrensel değerlere duyarlı olma (98 ) ve eşitlik (77) değerleri izlerken ; en az ele alınan değerler vatanseverlik (4) olup bunu sırasıyla yardımseverlik (9) ve paylaşma (13) değerleri izlemektedir.

In addition to the preparation of an effective program in the awarding of values, the curriculum books also hold an important place. In the course of Citizenship and Democracy Education, teachers and students use and follow as primary resources in the curricula which these values are included, how much the values are placed, and which are more frequently emphasized. This research, which is conducted in order to determine the status of the values included in the classes of citizenship and democracy education lessons, is carried out with a document study of the quality research methods. For this purpose: 8. Class Citizenship and Democracy Education Course program has been aimed at determining how often and how the values to be earned directly in which units are placed. This study was addressed to the study of the teaching guide, the curriculum and the workbooks used in the Citizenship and Democracy Education Course in the 8th grade in the 2012-2013 educational year. The remaining 17 values are based on the value of self-respect and differentiality of the 19 values aimed at obtaining in the teaching programs because they are not included among the values to be obtained from the truth within the unit. As a result, when all units are taken into account, the most mentioned values are liability (129) and, respectively, the values of sensitivity to national, spiritual and universal values (98 ) and equality (77) followed; the least addressed values are patriotism (4) and followed by the values of utility (9) and sharing (13) respectively.

The study conducted to determine the state of including values in secondary school Citizenship and Democracy textbook was carried out with document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. For this purpose, directly gain values to be determined which took place in the unit tried to determine how often and in what way in 8 Citizenship and Democracy Education Instructor program. In this study, for review were discussed in teacher's book, textbooks and workbooks that used Citizenship and Democracy Education Course in the academic year 2012-2013.
