Bu çalışmada epigrammanın anlamı ve Yunan mitoloji arasındaki ilişki sorgulanacaktır. Epigrammanın önemi ise Oktay Rifat’ın poetikasına bakılarak açıklanacaktır. Oktay Rifat’ın şiirinin gelişim çizgisine bakılacak ve edebiyat tarihimizde Yunan mitolojisi bağlamında Oktay Rifat şiiri değerlendirilecektir. Türk edebiyatında ses getirmemiş bir akım olan Nev-Yunaniliğe değinilecektir. Epigramma nedir, Oktay Rifat epigrammaları neden çevirmiştir soruları cevaplanacaktır. Epigrammanın sözlüklerdeki tanımı yoluyla bu ifadenin Türkçede neyi ifade ettiği üzerinde durulacaktır. Oktay Rifat’ın epigrammalar hakkında verdiği bilgilerden faydalanarak epigrammaların ne zamandan beri yazıldığı anlaşılmaya çalışılacaktır. Çeviri şiir, çeviri şiir hakkında Oktay Rifat’ın düşünceleri hakkında bilgi verilecektir. Bu bağlamda, bir Türk şairinin, Oktay Rifat’ın, dünya şiiriyle organik bağı sorgulanacaktır. Cemal Süreya’nın sorusu epigramma merkezinde cevaplanmaya çalışılacaktır. “Agememnon” şiirinin öncesinde Oktay Rifat’ın şiirlerine kronolojik olarak bakılarak Oktay Rifat şiirinde bu değişimin başlangıcının epigrammalar olduğu tespit edilecektir. Bu nedenle aşk, ölüm ve tasvir epigrammaları üzerinde durulacaktır. Oktay Rifat, ne derece Antik Yunan şiirini benimsemiş örneklerden hareketle insan hayatına bu şiirler nasıl yansımış anlaşılmaya çalışılacaktır. Sonunda, epigrammaların Türk şiirine nasıl yansıdığı değerlendirilecektir.

This study try to analyze what is the meaning of epigramma and relation between Greek mythologies. And revealing the importance of epigramma is possible for looking Oktay Rifat poetica. Thorough examples of epigrammas, the importance of these poems will be emphasized and why he cares about these poems will be taken care of. Oktay Rifat is accepted a poet who brought feel of research to modern Turkish poetry by Cemal Süreya. Cemal Süreya has asked what the importance of “Agamemnon”poem in his poetica. In this context, a Turkish poet, Oktay Rifat, questioned organic connection with the world. The question of Cemal Süreya’s will be trying to answer in the center of epigramma. Through looking at Oktay Rifat poems chronological before the poem that is Agememnon, will be determined that epigrammas is the beginning of his change.
