Abstract:

The determination of teachers’ time management skills is important for the teaching profession as in other professions. Teachers' certain functions such as planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, monitoring, evaluation are important in terms of time management and their practice for their own work or the work of the educational organizations they are within. The professional time management skills are, of course, largely related to the general time management skills levels in the lives of individuals. The teaching profession is a profession that makes it necessary to be planned, to govern the time well, to use the time efficiently, to stay away from the time losers as much as possible. For this reason, the determination of teachers’ general time management skills will help them develop themselves in this field. The aim of the study is to determine how the general time management skills of the teacher candidates in the Department of Fine Arts Education differ according to 9 demographic independent variables. This study was conducted with a total of 141 students from the students of all classes of the Faculty of Education of the University of Trakya School of Fine Arts Education Department of Picture-Business Education and Music Education Department of Anabolic and Music Education Department of Anabolic. As a data collection tool, the researchers Ergin, Ergin and Demirkol (2018) prepared the "General Time Management Skills Scale" was used. The scale 4 consists of 30 matters. In the statistical analysis of data, the T test, the variance analysis and the source of the difference were used for post-master analysis LSD techniques. As a result of the study, the Department of Fine Arts Education found that the general time management skills of the teacher candidates were slightly above the average level.
