Abstract:

Dünya dillerine Türkçeden geçen “yoğurt” sözcüğü kendisi ile yaşayan “sütü uyutmak” tabirinde kökünü saklamaktadır. Tarihî ve çağdaş Türk lehçelerinde ve Türkiye Türkçesinde “uyut-” fiili “sütü mayalamak, yoğurt yapmak” anlamında kullanılmaktadır.         Tarihi dönemlerle birlikte bugün sütün mayalanması anlamında kullanılan “uyut-” fiili, bizi “yoğurt” sözcüğünün etimolojik incelemesine yönlendirmiş, bu yazıda yoğurt sözcüğünün kökeni üzerinde durulmuştur.

Abstract:

the word “oğurt” which is derived from the world languages contains the root in the subject of “containing milk” which is living with itself in history and contemporary turkish dialects and “sleep” in the turkish genre is used in terms of “making milk yeast yoghurt” and “sleep” verb used in terms of yeast of milk today with historical periods of history, has focused on the origin of the yogurt word in this article referred to the etimological examination of the word “yoğurt”
