Abstract:

Due to the inevitable impact of being living organisms, sustainability and green concepts have become the core values of many. Today, the concept of sustainable green warehouse is related to the integration, balance and management of economic, environmental and social income in warehouses with green buildings and the output of operations. Sustainable green warehouse can be defined as a set of technological and organizational solutions designed for the efficiency of warehouse processes byining high social standards and reducing their effects on nature in terms of financial efficiency. However, are aware that it is difficult to obtain effective and efficient storage and distribution services as third-party logistics (3PL) for current supply chain flows in the existing business environment. In this context, companies offering storage and distribution services should increase their own brand shares with values of providing competitive advantage and reduce operating costs such as movement and time sensors using renewable energy, automatic transportation processes equipment, green buildings, lighting systems, natural ventilation systems, solar panels, water treatment systems, ISO standards and 5S philosophy. In the near future, it will be understood thatining economic and operational efficiency, reducing damage to the environment and creating suitable working environments can only be possible and sustainable with efficient management of green warehouses. This study examined the principles of sustainability in terms of storage, storage and distribution management. This study has studied GWM applications and business performance, an empirical analysis of logistics enterprises in Turkey.
