İntraabdominal apseler nadir olarak Candida türlerine bağlı olarak gelişir. Bu tür apselere sebep olanönemli spesifik risk faktörleri; cerrahi girişimler, gastrointestinal perforasyonlar ve gastrointestinal anastomoz kaçaklarıdır. Spesifik olmayan risk faktörleri arasında ise; diabetes mellitus, immunsüpresyon, uzun süreli antibiyotik kullanımı ve yoğun bakım ünitesinde yatış gibi etkenler yer almaktadır. Bu yazıda, geniş spektrumlu antibiyotik tedavisi almış 63 yaşında diyabetik bir kadın hastanın Candida glabrata’ya bağlı olarak gelişen intraabdominal apse vakası sunulmuştur.

Abstract:

Intraabdominal capsules rarely develop depending on the types of Candida. The important specific risk factors that cause such apses are: surgery, gastrointestinal perforations and gastrointestinal anastomosis. Non-specific risk factors include factors such as diabetes mellitus, immunosuppression, long-term antibiotic use and staying in the intensive care unit. In this article, a 63-year-old diabetic woman who received broad spectrum antibiotic treatment presented the case of intraabdominal apse that develops due to Candida glabrata.
