Abstract:

The first of the most important factors that enable a literary work to find and enjoy life in different cultures and different lengths is the text translation. The origin of the literary text translation activity, which allows a text to be converted into target text equivalent to the value and shape created by the author, extends to very ancient times. Among the varieties of literary text translations, novel translations reach the male language in different ways with different touches of different translators, world views, cultures, educational levels, slogans and word treasures. In this study, the two translations from English to Turkish in the context of the output culture and male culture of Ernest Hemingway's 1976 novel The Sun Also Rises will be discussed comparatively from linguistic, cultural and social aspects. The first translation was made by Orhan Azizoğlu and the 1986 translation of the text, which was included in the classics by printing from the Information Publications. The second is the text translated by Sinan Fişek in 1988 and published in the Adam Publications. The study will take advantage of the comparative translation method and the cultural translation approach. The aim is to make light on the translators' decisions to compare the two translations of the Sun and Nature novel into Turkish in terms of language decisions and to identify what kind of differences there are between them. Here, in the process of converting the main text to two different male texts, it is to study and try to interpret the influence of the translator’s decisions on the reader by making a comparative description of the male language in cultural, social and linguistic levels.
