Abstract:

Basra Bay is considered to be one of the strategic points of the Middle East. Its geographical location, being one of the important transition routes in terms of oil and energy resources, and political instability in the region requires focus on the geopolitical characteristics of the Gulf. In this context, the main objective of the article is to analyze the importance of the Basra Bay, within the framework of the concept of geopolitics, in terms of the countries of the region and to keep light on current discussions. The increasing power demonstrations of the region countries and global actors have made it compulsory for more attention to the Basra Gulf, which does not lead to geopolitical importance debate.
