Toplumsal hayatta meydana gelen olayları, kamuoyuna duyurmak ve bilgi akışını sağlamak amacıyla faaliyet gösteren medya kuruluşları, haber olgusunun en önemli aktarıcıları konumundadırlar. Bir ürün olarak haber, haber ajansları ve diğer medya kuruluşları tarafından üretilerek, hedef kitle ile paylaşılır. Bu çerçevede üretilen ya da inşa edilen bir şey olarak haber, ideolojiden bağımsız olarak değerlendirilemez. Dolayısıyla haberlerin içerikleri, sunuluş biçimleri ve taşımış oldukları anlam, belirli iktidar yapılanmalarının ideolojilerini taşımakta ve aktarmaktadırlar. Bu bağlamda medya, iktidar ve ideoloji arasında önemli bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. Medya içerikleri olarak haberlerin taşımış oldukları ideolojiler, kapalı bir şekilde varlık göstermektedir. Dolayısıyla haberlerin ideolojik olarak çözümlenmesi, medya, iktidar ve ideoloji arasındaki ilişkiyi göstermek arasından oldukça işlevseldir. Bu bağlamda yapılmış olan bu çalışmada, 15 Mart 2019 tarihinde Yeni Zelanda’da meydana gelen terör saldırısını aktaran haberleri incelenmiştir. Çalışma, Reuters, Anadolu Ajansı, Sputnik, CNN International ve El Cezire haber ajansları ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Çalışma sınırlılığında yer alan ajansların olayın gerçekleştiği gün ve sonraki iki günde olaya ilişkin olarak vermiş olduğu haberler, haber, ideoloji ve iktidar arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya çıkartmak amacıyla eleştirel söylem analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir.
Media organizations that operate in order to inform the events that occur in the social life and to provide the flow of information are the most important transmitters of the news event. As a product, it is produced by news agencies and other media organizations, and shared with the target audience. News as something produced or built in this framework cannot be assessed independently of the ideology. Thus, the contents of the news, the forms of presentation and the meaning they have transmitted, they carry and transmit the ideologies of certain power structures. In this context there is an important relationship between the media, power and ideology. The ideologies that the media content transmitted by the news appear in a closed way. Therefore, the ideological analysis of news is quite functional from showing the relationship between the media, power and ideology. This study, which was conducted in this context, examined the news that translated the terrorist attack in New Zealand on 15 March 2019. The study is limited to Reuters, Anadolu Agency, Sputnik, CNN International and Al-Qaeda news agencies. The news provided by the agencies within the work limit on the day and the following two days of the incident was studied by critical speech analysis method to reveal the relationship between news, ideology and power.
