Abstract:

Institutions and organizations that want to stand up in the coming centuries need to give the importance to distance education. Therefore, not only communication technologies, but also educational approaches must be updated to increase the student’s success in the remote education systems that are spreading every day. Identification of personality characteristics that are effective in students’ success will contribute to the development of new approaches in the remote education system. In this context, the purpose of the research is to determine what are the basic personal characteristics that influence the success of students with superior success in the remote education system. In this study with the use of the quality research method, with the use of the purpose sample method in the Anatolian University Open Education System, the overall score average of 3.50 was over 18 provinces with 114 participants in face-to-face conversations. Data collection and interview forms have been used. The research data was dissolved using the visual analysis method. Students with excellent success in the Anatolian University Open Education programs have found that students are determined, willing to learn and responsible individuals. The use of the technology will be more efficient to design applications that will increase students’ responsibility awareness and interest in learning.
