This study has studied how measurement and evaluation practices can be developed in the Anatolian University Open Education System, one of the mega universities in the world offering open and remote education services. In this context, the opinions of students on the formatting and level-defining evaluation activities have been studied to determine which other measurement tools and techniques can be used in the system. The study adopted the detective method (NITEL → quantum) from the research patterns of the mixed method; the qualitative data was collected through semi-configured conversations, while the quantum data was collected with the "Evaluation of Measurement Tools and Preference Survey" applied online. The semi-configured interviews included 12 students, while the survey included 13,739 students. In the analysis of qualitative data, the visual analysis method was used, while in the analysis of quantitative data, percentage-frequency tables, multi-compatibility analysis, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used. At the end of the study, it was revealed that the diversification of the measurement tools used in evaluating students, the enhancement of the possibilities of online examination, the giving more feedback to students about the learning and evaluation process, and the recognition of the opportunity for students to make more practice in the fields they study.
