Abstract:

Ouml;zet: Ouml;ğrencilerin, okuldaki başarılarında ouml;nemli bir payı olan etkili ouml;ğrenme ve ders ccedil;alışma davranışlarını kazanabilmeleri iccedil;in, ouml;ğretmenlerin onlara etkili bir yardımda bulunması buuml;yuuml;k ouml;nem taşımaktadır. Ccedil;uuml;nkuuml; eğitilenlerin, eğitenin davranışlarına gouml;re derse karşı tutum nbsp; geliştirdikleri bir gerccedil;ektir. Coğrafya derslerine karşı ouml;ğrencilerde oluşan ilgisizlik nedenlerini tespit ederek sorunun nbsp; ccedil;ouml;zuuml;muuml;ne katkıda bulunabilmek iccedil;in, coğrafya ouml;ğretmenlerinin bouml;yle yardımlar yapması ccedil;ok ouml;nemli gouml;ruuml;lmektedir. Fakat, coğrafya derslerinde etkili yardım sağlayacak olan ouml;ğretmenlerin, etkili ouml;ğretme ve ders işleme becerilerine ne ouml;lccedil;uuml;de sahip oldukları ouml;nemli bir sorundur. Temelde bu ccedil;alışma, Trabzonrsquo;daki liselerde coğrafya ouml;ğretmenlerinin lisans eğitimleri sırasında aldıkları eğitimin niteliğine de dikkat ccedil;ekmektedir. Ccedil;uuml;nkuuml; Onların, ldquo;etkili coğrafya ouml;ğretimi yapmardquo; amacına ulaşmalarını sağlayacak becerilerle donatılmalarında yaşanan guuml;ccedil;luuml;klerin etkileri de ele alınmaktadır. Belirtilen yeterliliklerin coğrafya ouml;ğretmenlerinde ne duuml;zeyde mevcut olduğunu tespit etmeyi amaccedil;layan araştırma, ouml;ğretmen yetiştiren kurumlarda uygulanan coğrafya ouml;ğretmeni yetiştirme programlarında, ouml;ğretmenlere etkili ouml;ğretme ve ders işleme becerileri kazandırma bakımından duuml;zenlemeler yapılması gereğini ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca hem ortaouml;ğretim, hem de eğitim fakuuml;ltelerindeki coğrafya derslerinin iccedil;erik ve niteliğinin gouml;zden geccedil;irilerek, bu konuda uuml;niversitelerdeki ldquo;coğrafya eğitimi uzmanlarıncardquo; nbsp; etkili ouml;ğretme ve ders işleme becerileri kazandırmaya youml;nelik yetiştirici, geliştirici etkinlikler ile ouml;rnek rehber materyaller ve kılavuzlar geliştirilmelidir. Abstract It is important for teachers to help their students about gaining the effective learning and studying behaviors, which has a great contribution to academic success. It is a well known fact that students develop attitudes towards the lesson according to teacherrsquo;s behaviors. In order to find out the reasons of negative attitudes, thoughts and to quit them, it is essential for geography teachers to help students in gaining effective learning and studying behaviors. However, whether the geography teachers are qualified enough to maintain such a help or not is an important issue. In its bases this study also holds the issue of inefficiency of the geography teachersrsquo; university education, which doesnrsquo;t support them with the abilities of helping students to develop positive attitudes towards the lesson. This study which aims to find out the efficiency of geography teachers suggests that there should be some modifications in geography teacher curriculum to provide teachers with the abilities of effective instruction and teaching. Furthermore, by considering the quality of geography teaching in secondary and higher education the scholars of geography teaching ought to develop materials, activities and reference books, which aims to develop the abilities of effective instruction and teaching. nbsp; nbsp;
