Abstract:

Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) model includes three fields of knowledge, including field knowledge, pedagogical knowledge and technical knowledge, and the sub-dimensions of these fields of knowledge. This study aims to determine TPACK levels of the classroom teacher candidates studying at the state university, Faculty of Education, Department of Primary Education in the 2011 2012 academic year by using the lesson plan matrix. Twenty classroom teacher candidates studying in the last year within the scope of the Teaching Practice II course participated in the study. The results of this study showed that prospective teachers have scientific or partially sufficient environmental information, strategy, method and technical information and evaluation information to be used in science. However, the results of this study revealed that the pre-service teachers' level of knowledge about learning difficulties and their reasons was not scientifically sufficient. Also, the results of this study showed that the pre-service teachers' level of using technology with strategy, method, technique and evaluation was not at a sufficient level. In this respect, undergraduate education should be designed in a way to solve these problems, considering the problems that teacher candidates experience in including technology in the teaching process.
