Eski Uygur Türkçesi Metinlerinde Budist Bir Terim Olarak “Sadu (< Skr. Sādhu)”

Eski Uygur Türkçesi, Uygur Türklerinin sahip olduğu gelişkin dini yaşam ve kültürel seviyesini somut örneklerle ortaya koyan bir dönemdir. Özellikle din temelli gelişen toplumsal yaşam içerisinde Buda ve Mani öğretileri gibi çeşitli inanç sistemlerini benimseyen Uygur Türkleri, bu öğretileri anlama ve anlatma adına kökeni bu öğretilere dayalı felsefî bir dil inşa etmişlerdir. Türk dilinin soyut ve metafizik yönüne dayalı dinî terminolojisinin ilk örneklerinin verildiği bu dönem, özellikle Budist Uygur rahiplerinin tercümeye dayalı faaliyetleri sonucu temeli atılan ve geliştirilen bir dönem olma özelliği de taşımaktadır. Halka anlayacağı dille seslenme ihtiyacı doğrultusunda, Budist terimlere elden geldiğince Türkçe karşılıklar verme anlayışını benimseyen “saf imanlı Budist” rahiplerin sahip oldukları din bilinci zamanla Türkçe dil bilincine evrilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, Budist Uygur rahiplerinin sahip oldukları dil bilincinin ürünü olan sadu (Skr. sādhu) kelimesi, bahsi geçen rahiplerce Türk dilinin dinî terminolojisine kazandırılmış ifadelerden biridir. Bu çalışmada, “İyi!, Güzel!, Aferin!, Mükemmel!, Kutlu olsun!, Âmin!” anlamlarındaki sadu sözcüğü ele alınarak ifadenin Eski Uygur Türkçesi metinlerindeki tanıklarına, Türk dilinin dinî terminolojisi özelinde terimin oluşum yönüne, dil ilişkilerine dayalı ödünçleme olayına ve ifadenin dinî olarak Hinduizm ve Budizm’de sahip olduğu kavramsal değere yer verilecektir.

Ancient Uyghur Turkish is a period in which the advanced religious life and cultural level of the Uyghur Turkish have been demonstrated with concrete examples. The Uyghur Turks, who adopted various religious systems, such as the Buddha and the Mani teachings, especially in the religious-based social life, have built a philosophical language based on the origins of these teachings in order to understand and explain these teachings. This period, in which the first examples of the religious terminology are given based on the abstract and metaphysical aspect of the Turkish language, also carries the characteristic of being a period based and developed as a result of the translation-based activities of the Buddhist Uighur priests. In accordance with the need to speak in the language that the people will understand, the "clean faithful Buddhist" priest who adopts the concept of giving the most Turkish responses to the Buddhist terms, the religious consciousness they have has evolved to the Turkish language consciousness over time. In this direction, the sadd, which is the product of the language consciousness that the Buddhist Uighur priests possess (Skr. The word sādhu is one of the expressions given to the religious terminology of the Turkish language by the mentioned priests. In this work, “Good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good!” By addressing the word sadu in its meanings, the witnesses of the expression in the ancient Uyghur Turkish texts will be given the direction of the formation of the term in the religious terminology of the Turkish language, the event of loaning based on language relationships and the conceptual value that the expression religiously has in Hinduism and Buddhism.
