Congress tourism is a type of tourism on which the individuals from different cities or countries coming together to participate in activities such as education, conferences, and symposiums in order to exchange scientific or professional information on a specific subject. National and international congresses are held within the scope of congress tourism. The purpose of this study is to reveal the main differences between public and private congresses and to compare the attitudes of individuals who work and participates in educational congresses organized by public and private sectors. Face to face survey method was used to collect data. The surveys consisted of totally 217 participants, 116 employees from in public institutions and 101 employees from private organizations which participated in the congress. The applied questionnaire was coded and analyzed by SPSS statistical program. As a result of the analysis, Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was calculated as 0.91, which demonstrates that the scale is highly reliable. In the results of T-test, it was concluded that there is a significant difference according to the congresses organized by the sector. In the group’s average examination, it is observed that the general satisfaction level is higher at the congresses organized by the public institutions than the congresses organized by private sector organizations.
