Kongre turizmi, bireylerin farklı şehir veya ülkelerden bir araya gelerek belli bir konuda bilimsel veya mesleki bilgi alışverişi amacıyla eğitim, konferans ve sempozyum gibi faaliyetlere katılması sonucu ortaya çıkan turizm şeklidir. Kongre turizmi kapsamında hem ulusal hem de uluslararası kongreler yapılmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, kamu ve özel sektörde çalışan ve kuruluşlarının düzenlediği eğitim kongrelerine katılan bireylerin tutumlarını ortaya koymak ve kamu ve özel sektör kongreleri arasındaki temel farklılıkları karşılaştırmaktır. Araştırma için yüz yüze anket yoluyla veri toplama yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Anketler kongreye katılan 116’sı kamu kurumlarında ve 101’i özel sektör kuruluşlarında çalışan toplam 217 katılımcıya yapılmıştır. Bu anket formları SPSS programı kullanılarak tasnif ve analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sonucunda Cronbach’s Alpha katsayısı 0,91 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bu değere göre ölçeğin yüksek derecede güvenilir olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Yapılan t testi sonucuna göre çalışılan sektörün düzenlediği kongrelere göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Gruplar arası ortalamalara bakıldığında, kamu kurumlarının düzenlediği kongrelere karşı genel memnuniyet düzeyinin, özel sektör kuruluşlarının düzenlediği kongrelere karşı genel memnuniyet düzeyinden daha yüksek olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.
Congress tourism is a type of tourism on which individuals from different cities or countries come together to participate in activities such as education, conferences, and symposiums in order to exchange scientific or professional information on a specific subject. National and international congresses are held within the scope of congress tourism. The purpose of this study is to reveal the main differences between public and private congresses and to compare the attitudes of individuals who work and participate in educational congresses organized by public and private sectors. Face to face survey method was used to collect data. The surveys consisted of a total of 217 participants, 116 employees from public institutions and 101 employees from private organizations who participated in the congress. The applied questionnaire was coded and analyzed by SPSS statistical program. As a result of the analysis, Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was calculated as 0.91, which demonstrates that the scale is highly reliable. In the results of the T-test, it was concluded that there is a significant difference according to the congresses organized by the sector. In the group’s average examination, it is observed that the general satisfaction level is higher at the congresses organized by the public institutions than the congresses organized by private sector organizations.
