The main factors of politics are people and society. The factors that influence them include other people, other societies and physical factors. The most concrete and comprehensive reward of physical factors is geography. The geography consists of various elements and these elements have not been homogeneously dispersed into the earth. These elements have affected individuals and communities throughout history. In ancient times, geographical elements were seen as a obstacle. But with the advancement of technology, people have avoided the negatives caused by the geography and have learned how to take advantage of the possibilities provided by the geography. The decisive impact of geography on society and politics appeared to be broken as a result of technological advances. But geography, politics and society continue to influence its political processes. Geopolitical and political geographical sciences are studying the relationship around the concept of power. These effects are also clearly seen through the culture that indirectly shapes attitudes and behaviors. Political science is at this point. This relationship is more than a power relationship, and the scope and issues of political science can be addressed in order to provide a different perspective of this relationship. The article discussed the effects of the geographical elements given in the title on politics, examples from history and the opinions of the thinkers who worked on it. The article concluded that considering the relationship between geography and politics without limitation to a determinist and power-oriented perspective could have more ideas on both politics and relationships.
