Abstract:

The incidence of violence is increasingly observed in every age group and in every section of society. The official statistics and the news reflected in the media have observed that domestic violence has increased, and that it has influenced the whole community’s life. Social factors on the phenomenon of violence (atherical structure), the perception of the social role of gender and the socio-cultural and economic structure of the family ( poverty, employment, family width, etc.) It has a significant effect. Violence has a character to be multiplied by learning, and the fact of violence affects mainly women within the family. Those who are violent are mostly men. Therefore, violence in society is used as violence against women and/or violent violence against women. In the last few years, it has been the first place of violence against women. This study includes the results of the SODES project implemented in the districts of Adana, Heart, Seyhan, Çukurova and Sarıçam, in order to prevent domestic violence. In the framework of the project, the aim of the prevention of violence against women and raising awareness of gender is to provide training in 3 separate modules to create awareness in the target audience in the field of research. The research has found that pre- and post-training awareness has been compared and the target audience has a positive direction of awareness. In this context, the aim of the project has been achieved and the main suggestion of the study is to demonstrate continuity of training, to give women legal and economic power.
