Fetih-name, as a literary genre, is a piece of art that tells about the conquest of a place or that takes place in a chapter in a chronicle. These works are It includes the taking of a place, city or castle from the beginning to the end. These fetihnames, which can be written in both verse and prose in Turkish-Islamic Literature, have historical importance as well as being literary texts. Many fetihnames in verse, prose or mixed verse-prose in old Turkish literature were written in Arabic, Persian and Turkish. Fetihnames, which were written in verse, were generally written in masnavi verse. In the conquest-nâme, which is the subject of our study, the events that took place during the period from the occupation of Egypt, which was under Ottoman rule by the French in 1798, to its recapture in 1801, are briefly described. The fetih-nâme eulogy, which was written by Kethüdâ-zâde Ârif Efendi and called Fetih-nâme-i Garra Bâ Tevârîh-i Raʽnâ, was written in verse. In this study, Fetih-nâme-i Garra Bâ Tevârîh-i Raʽnâ will be introduced. First of all, general information about fetihnames will be given. Then, the work will be introduced in general terms and examined in terms of form and content. Finally, the transcripted text of the work will be given and the work will be presented to the use of researchers.
