Tarih boyunca insanların duygularını, düşüncelerini, dünyayı algılayışlarını yansıtan halk hikâyeleri, Türk halk edebiyatının önemli unsurlarındandır. Yazarları genellikle bilinmeyen, sözlü geleneği ve kültürü temsil ederek günümüze kadar devam ettirmekte olan halk hikâyeleri, Türklerin yaşadıkları coğrafyalarda diğer edebî türlerden ayrı bir yere sahiptir. Bu hikâyelerin konuları bakımından asıl kaynaklarını Türk halk kültürü teşkil etmektedir. Bunun yanında Arap, İran ve Hint kültürleri gibi diğer kültürlerin ürünleri de halk hikâyelerimize kaynaklık etmiştir. Söz konusu bu kültürlerde yaygın olan hikâyelerin konuları Türk yazarları tarafından ele alınıp yeniden işlenerek ortaya birçok eser konmuştur. Bu çalışmada tanıtacağımız eser de konu bakımından yabancı kültür ürünü olan eserlerden biridir. Telif tarihi belli olmayan, ancak yazım ve ses özelliklerine bakıldığında XVI. yüzyıl Klasik Osmanlı Türkçesine ait olduğunu düşündüğümüz “es-Selsebîl fî Evsâfi’n-Nîl-i Mübâreke” küçük bir halk hikâyesi kitabıdır. Mensur olan bu eserde Hâyid ibni Şâlûm’un Nil nehrinin kaynağına ulaşmak için çıktığı uzun yolculuk sırasında yaşadığı olağanüstü olay ve maceralar anlatılmaktadır. Eser, dinî özelliklere sahip olup sabır ve kararlılık gibi konularda halk için eğitici olması hedeflenerek sade ve yalın bir dille kaleme alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada yazarı bilinmeyen “es-Selsebîl fî Evsâfi’n-Nîl-i Mübâreke” adlı eserin fiziksel özellikleri, konusu, kaynağı, dili, imlâ ve ses özellikleri genel hatlarıyla değerlendirildikten sonra metnin çeviriyazıya aktarımı yapılarak tanıtılmıştır.
People's stories, which throughout history reflect people's feelings, thoughts, perceptions of the world, are one of the important elements of Turkish folk literature. People's stories, which are often unknown by their authors, representing their verbal tradition and culture and continues to the present day, have a distinct place in the geography in which the Turks live from other literary species. The main sources of these stories are the Turkish people's culture. In addition, the products of other cultures, such as Arab, Iranian and Indian cultures, have also been the source of our popular stories. The topics of the stories that are common in these cultures have been discussed and processed by Turkish writers and many works have been revealed. The work we will present in this study is one of the works of foreign culture in terms of the subject. The authorship date is unknown, but with regard to the characteristics of writing and sound XVI. It is a little popular story book that we think it belongs to the classical Ottoman Turkish "es-Selsebîl fî Evsâfi'n-Nîl-i Mübâreke" which we think it belongs to. In this work, the extraordinary events and adventures that Hadid ibn Shalûm lived during the long journey to reach the source of the river Nil. The work has religious characteristics and is aimed at being educational for the people in subjects such as patience and determination and is written in a simple and simple language. In this study the author is unknown "es-Selsebîl fî Evsâfi'n-Nîl-i Mübâreke" the physical characteristics of the work, subject, source, language, imla and sound characteristics after being evaluated with general lines was introduced by translating the text to the translation.
