1896-1901 tarihleri arasında varlığını sürdüren Servet-i Fünun topluluğu, Tanzimat’tan itibaren yönünü Batı’ya çeviren Türk edebiyatı tarihinde önemli bir kavşak noktasıdır. Şiirde Cenap Şehabettin ve Tevfik Fikret’in öne çıktığı Servet-i Fünun topluluğunda roman sahasının en önemli ismi Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil’dir.
The Servet-i Fünun community, which continued its existence between 1896-1901, is an important crossing point in the history of Turkish literature that turns its direction from Tanzania to the West. In the poem, the most important name of the novel scene is Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil in the community of the Servet-i Fünun, where Cenap Şehabettin and Tevfik Fikret appear. The May and Black novel, which keeps a mirror to the time of the servant, is remarkable in terms of telling a poet’s life story as well as reflecting the poetry of the community in which he is. The May and Black novel, which has an important place in the history of Turkish literature with the character of Ahmet Cemil, reflects both the personal characteristics of this community and their views on literature. The opinions that Fikret received in his straight writings, in many subjects in May and Black, have been translated to the reader with the character of Ahmet Cemil by Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil, adapting to the novel language. In this work, we will also try to compare the common poem views of the novel character poet Ahmet Cemil and Tevfik Fikret.
