Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil’in Mai ve Siyah romanında, duyular ve duygular dış dünyayla birleşir ve bunlar metinde yeni bir anlatım şeklini yaratır. Bu anlatım şeklinde duyular, canlandırmalar aracılığıyla hayal dünyasıyla birleşir ve temas etmek dış dünyayı anlamlandırmanın bir parçası olur. Elaine Scarry Kitapla Hayal Etmek’te canlandırmaları üçe ayırır: Dolaysız, gecikmeli ve taklit. Şiirin ise her üç canlandırmaya da sahip tek tür olduğunu vurgular. Mai ve Siyah’ta Ahmet Cemil bize bu üç canlandırma şeklini bir arada sunar. Bu makalede, Mai ve Siyah’tan ve özellikle Ahmet Cemil’in yazmaya çalıştığı eserinden bahsettiği pasajları kullanarak üç canlandırma şeklinin sadece şiirde değil roman türünde de kullanılabileceğini ispatlamaya çalışacağım.
In Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil's May and Black novel, sensations and emotions unite with the outside world and they create a new form of narrative in the text. In this narrative form the senses are united with the fantasy world through animations and contact becomes part of the understanding of the external world. Elaine Scarry divides their animations into three: Immediate, Delayed and Imitation. The poem is the only one that has all three kinds of life. In May and Black, Ahmet Cemil offers us these three forms of animation together. In this article, I will try to prove that by using the passages of May and Black and especially Ahmet Cemil’s work he tries to write, the three forms of reproduction can be used not only in poetry, but also in the genre of novel.
Abstract: Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil the creates a new narrative for the telling of joinings between senses and sensations with the outside world in his novel Mai and Siyah. In this narration, the senses merge with the imaginary via vivification and coming into contact becomes part of signifying the outer world. Elaine Scarry divides her enlivenments into three: Direct, delayed and imitative in Dreaming by the book and as for only poetry includes all three vivifications. Ahmet Cemil presents the reader with all three enlivenments together, in Mai ve Siyah. In this article, I will establish this point, by utilizing passages from Mai ve Siyah and notably the work which Ahmet Cemil strove to write.
