Bu araştırmanın amacı, rekreasyon ve spor yöneticiliği bölümlerinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerinin yönetimsel profesyonelleşme düzeylerinin bazı değişkenlerle olan ilişkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, tarama modelinde olup, betimsel bir nitelik arz etmektedir. Tarama modeli, geçmişte ya da günümüzde var olan bir durumu olduğu sekliyle betimlemeyi amaçlamaktadır (Karasar, 2012). Bu doğrultuda çalışmanın Evreni İstanbul ili, örneklemi Avrupa yakası spor bilimleri rekreasyon ve spor yöneticiliği lisans bölümünde öğrenim gören 199 katılımcının (121, %60,8 erkek) ve (78, %39,2 kadın) desteğiyle oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada Gümüş (2019) tarafından geliştirilen ve 25 sorudan oluşan beş alt boyutlu Yönetimsel Profesyonelleşme Ölçeği (YPÖ) kullanılmıştır. Çalışmamızda bazı değişkenler olarak katılımcıların yaş, cinsiyet, öğrenim gördüğü bölüm, ve çalışma durumu değişkenlerine bakılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler, SPSS 21.0 paket programından yararlanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Verilerin normal dağılım gösterip göstermediğini test etmek için Kolmogorov-Simirnov ve Shapiro Wilk testlerine bakılarak anlaşılmaktadır. Gözlem sayısı 29’dan az olduğunda Shapiro Wilks, fazla olduğunda ise Kolmogorov-Simirnov (Lilliefors) testi kullanılmaktadır (Eroğlu ve Kalaycı, 2008). Veri sayısı 30’dan fazla olduğundan Kolmogorov-Simirnov (Lilliefors) testi sonucu incelenmiş olup, ölçek verilerinin tüm değişkenler (takım sporu yapan ve bireysel spor yapan) üzerinde anlamlılık değerlerinin 0,05’ten küçük olması nedeniyle verilerin normal dağılıma uygunluk göstermediği (çalışmada parametrik olmayan testlerden Mann-Whitney-U, Kruskal Wallis-H testi kullanılmıştır) (Morgan, Leech, Gloeckner ve Barrett, 2004). Sonuş olarak, Rekreasyon bölümünde öğrenim gören katılımcıların en çok “Diğer meslekler toplum için benim mesleğimden daha önemlidir.” sorusuna katıldıkları, Spor yöneticiliği katılımcıların en az katıldığı soru ise “Meslektaşlarım birbirlerinin yetenekleri hakkında büyük ölçüde fikir sahibidirler, olmuştur. Spor yöneticiliği bölümünde öğrenim gören katılımcıların en çok “Mesleğimi çok seviyorum.” Ve “Diğer meslekler toplum için benim mesleğimden daha önemlidir.“ sorularına katıldıkları Rekreasyon bölümünde katılımcıların en az katıldığı soru ise “Düzenli olarak yerel mesleki toplantılara katılırım.” sorusudur. Katılımcıların yönetimsel profesyonelleşme ölçeği mesleki özdeşleşme, mesleki özerklik ve topluma hizmet alt boyutlarında rekreasyon ve spor yöneticiliği bölümlerinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin puanları açısından anlamlı bir farklılık yoktur. Rekreasyon bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin puanları spor yöneticiliği bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin mesleki örgütlenme alt boyutunda puanlarından daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Spor yöneticiliği bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin puanları rekreasyon bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin meslektaş denetimi alt boyutunda puanlarından daha yüksektir.
The aim of this research is to study the relationship between the level of management professionalism of students studying in the departments of recreation and sports management with some variables. The research is in the scan model and provides an imaginary quality. The scanning model aims to describe a situation in the past or today (Karasar, 2012). In this direction, the study was created with the support of 199 participants (121,60,8 percent men) and (78,39,2 percent women) who studied in the European side of sports sciences in recreation and sports management. The study developed by Silver (2019) and used a five-dimensional Management Professionalism Scale (YPÖ) consisting of 25 questions. Some of the variables in our study have been viewed as the age, gender, section where the participants are studying, and the work status variables. The data obtained in the study was analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 package program. It is understood by Kolmogorov-Simirnov and Shapiro Wilk tests to test whether the data show normal distribution. When the number of observations is less than 29, Shapiro Wilks, and when it is too much, the Kolmogorov-Simirnov (Lilliefors) test is used (Eroğlu and Kalaycı, 2008). Since the number of data is more than 30 it has been studied as a result of the Kolmogorov-Simirnov (Lilliefors) test, and the scale data is less than 0.05 due to the significance values of all variables (team sports and individual sports) and the data is not suitable for normal distribution (the study used Mann-Whitney-U, Kruskal Wallis-H from non-parametric tests) (Morgan, Leech, Gloeckner and Barrett, 2004). As a conclusion, the most of the participants studying in the Recreation Department "Other professions are more important to the community than my profession." The question they participated in, the question that the athletes at the Sports Management participated at least, was: "My colleagues have a great deal of mind about each other's abilities. The participants who studied in the sports management department most "I love my profession so much." And "Other professions are more important to society than my profession." The question at the Recreation section that they participate in is the question at which participants participate at least: "I regularly attend local professional meetings." It is question. The scale of managerial professionalization of participants has no significant difference in terms of the scores of students studying in the departments of recreation and sports management in the sub-dimensions of professional identification, professional autonomy and social service. The scores of students studying in the recreation department were higher than the scores of students studying in the sports management department in the under-dimensional professional organization. The scores of students studying in the Department of Sports Management are higher than the scores of students studying in the Department of Recreation in the lower dimension of the co-authority.
The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation of managerial professionalization levels of students studying in recreation and sports management departments with specific variables. We conducted the descriptive study in a screening model. Screening model aims to describe a past or present situation as it is (Karasar, 2012). Accordingly the target population of the study comprised İstanbul province, while the sample comprised 199 participants (121, 60.8% male) and (78, 39.2% female) studying in the European side sports sciences recreation and sports management department. In the study we used the Managerial Professionalization Scale (MPS) which was developed by Gümüş (2019) with 25 questions and five subscales. In our study we examined certain variables of the students such as age, sex, department, and employment. We analyzed the data acquired in the study using the SPSS 21.0 package program. In order to test whether the data is normally distributed or not, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests are used. When the observation number is smaller than 29, the Shapiro-Wilk test is used. When it is greater than 29, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (Lilliefors) test is used (Eroğlu and Kalaycı, 2008). As the data number was greater than 30, we examined the result of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (Lilliefors) test and found that the data was not normally distributed because the significance values of the scale data over all variables (team sports and individual sports) were smaller than 0.05 (the study used the Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis-H test which are among non-parametric tests) (Morgan, Leech, Gloeckner and Barrett, 2004). As a consequence the participants studying in the recreation department most agreed with the question, “Other occupations are more important for society than my department.”, the participants studying in the sports management department least agreed with the question, “My colleagues mainly have opinions about the talents of each other.”, the participants studying in the sports management department most agreed with the questions, “I like my profession a lot.” and “Other occupations are more important for society than my department.“, the participants studying in the recreation department least agreed with the question, “I regularly attend local occupational meetings.”. There was no significant difference between the Managerial Professionalization Scale occupational identification, occupational autonomy and community service subscale scores of the students studying in the recreation and sports management departments. The scores of the students studying in the recreation department were higher than the occupational organization subscale scores of the students studying in the sports management department. The scores of the students studying in the sports management department were higher than the colleague inspection subscale scores of the students studying in the recreation department.
