II. İlerleyen yaşlarında hasta İhsan’ın her an öleceği korkusunu yaşar.
In the history of Turkish literature, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar is known as a scientist, poet; experiment, article, novel and story writer. His novel, Peace, was published in the Republican newspaper in 1948. The work that brings great innovations in terms of content, if necessary, has also attracted attention from the chronological timeline and the technology of the flow of consciousness that it hosts. In the study, we will discuss the fear theme that we face as a symbol of unrest in Peace. Fear is used in two ways: General and Private. These are the struggles that create the general concept of fear. One of these wars was the War of Liberation, which Mümtaz witnessed in his childhood, while the other was the II. It is the World War. and II. The fact that the World War will begin at any moment will cause a fear seen from the beginning to the end of the novel. The particular fear in the novel originates primarily from the selfishness and private lives of the romanes, including Mümtaz, Nuran and Fatma. The hero of the novel, Mümtaz, lives with his fears. Mümtaz's fears, who emphasizes that he is an undefenseful person, starts with his father's death and continues his lifetime. Mümtaz, who lives his childhood in the years of the Liberation War, witnesses the fears and losses that the war leaves on the people in his young age. In his age, the patient is afraid that Ihsan will die at any time. Mümtaz lives the deepest fear of losing him, even when he is best with Nuran in love with him. One of the greatest heroes of the novel, Nuran, is in fear for his daughter Fatma and Mümtaz.
