The aim of this study was to examine school administrators' images on the printed media. For this purpose, Zaman, Milliyet and Cumhuriyet daily newspapers were gathered as data to determine how printed media reflect news about school administrators between the years 1997 and 2001. The data was analyzed through content analysis. In addition, descriptive analysis was conducted to explain the content, quality, and the major themes in these news. The patterns in those news were categorized as legal issues, violence, economical issues, dressing codes, and praiseworthiness. Consequently, the findings indicate that school principals' images on the printed media tend to be negative at a large scale.
