Ergenlerin Cinsiyet, Sınıf Düzeyi, Okul Türü ve Algılanan Ebeveyn Tutumlarına Göre Psikolojik Belirtilerinin İncelenmesi

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ergenlerin psikolojik belirtilerini cinsiyet, okul türü, sınıf düzey ve algılanan aile tutumuna göre incelemektir. Bu amaçla, farklı lise türlerine devam eden 338 ergenden (176 kız; 162 erkek) veri toplanmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Derogatis (1992) tarafından oluşturulmuş ve Türkçe’ye Şahin ve Durak (1994) tarafından uyarlanmış olan Kısa Semptom Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen ilk bulguya göre, kızların tüm psikolojik belirti ortalamaları erkeklerin puan ortalamalarından anlamlı bir biçimde yüksektir. İkinci olarak, Anadolu Lisesi’nde okuyan ergenlerin depresyon ve hostilite puanları meslek lisesinde okuyan ergenlerin ortalamasında anlamlı düzeyde yüksektir. Üçüncü olarak, psikolojik belirtiler sınıf düzeyine göre farklılaşmamaktadır. Son olarak ise, algıladıkları anne-baba tutumu demokratik olan ergenler daha az psikolojik belirti göstermektedirler. Bulgular literatür ışığında tartışılmıştır.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to study the psychological symptoms of adolescents according to gender, school type, class level and perceived family attitude. For this purpose, data were collected from 338 ergenden (176 girls; 162 men) that were continuing to different high school types. The Short Symptom Inventory was created by Derogatis (1992) as a data collection tool and adapted to Turkey by Shahin and Durak (1994) and used as a short Symptom Inventory. According to the first findings obtained, the average of all the psychological signs of girls is significantly higher than the average of men’s score. Secondly, the depression and hostility scores of adolescents studying at the Anadolu High School are significantly high in the average of adolescents studying at the professional high school. Thirdly, psychological symptoms do not differ according to class level. Finally, adolescents with a democratic attitude of parents they perceive show less psychological signs. The findings are discussed in the light of literature.
