Abstract:

The aim of this research is to reveal the relationship between school administrators 'ability to manage differences and teachers' organizational cynicism levels. The research is in relational survey model. The universe of the research consists of teachers working in the city of Uşak in the 2018-2019 academic year and the sample is 557 teachers. Easily accessible sampling method was used in the research. In the study, the data were collected with "The Scale of School Administrators' Competencies in Managing the Differences Between Teachers" and "The Organizational Cynicism Scale for Teachers". In analyzing the data, arithmetic mean, one-way variance analysis, Pearson Moments Product Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis were used. According to the results of the research, teachers find high the school management skills of school administrators. Teachers 'perceptions of school administrators' ability to manage differences show a significant difference in terms of the level of school they work. Again, according to the research, the organizational cynicism of teachers is low. Teachers’ organizational cynicism levels differ depending on the level of schools they work at. Another result of the research is to determine a negative and moderately significant relationship between school administrators' management skills and teachers' organizational cynicism levels. Finally, in the research, it was concluded that school administrators' differences management skills significantly predicted the levels of organizational cynicism of teachers in primary and secondary schools, but not in high schools
