Abstract:

Turkish language has a lohg history. In this period of time Turkish has been used in different dialects in different geographies. Vocabularies amongst the dialects need to be evaluated in terms of meaning to understand better the complexion of dialectization. Because the most important differences amongst the Turkish dialects are observed in vocabulary and in different meanings given to certain words. Dialectization in Turkish language is a result both natural developing period of the language and a factor supplying its enrichment. Enrichment in language comes up not only quantity of vocabulary , but also meaning variety. In this article verb root of 'tap' and some of ıts derivations were examimed and in which meaning details they are used in the territory of Azerbaycan, Iraq (by Turkmens) and Turkey were tried to be researched. In this study, it is shown with the exemples that words show different meaning development in different dialects and it is the naturel result of dialectization. It was tried to exhibit that the usage of a word in different meaning in different dialects is the indicator of vigor and enrichment of language.
