Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to evaluate graduate theses in the field of life knowledge education in Turkey according to various criteria. During the study, the computer-backed scan method was used. The theses have been reached through the "National Thesis Center" from the Higher Education Council (YÖK) website. In addition, the websites of the university libraries, the online databases, and the libraries have been scanned and the theses that are subject to research have been reached. A total of 83 studies have been studied with the scan and content analysis method. The vast majority of the data was obtained from the theses written between 1988 and 2015 and authorized to be published in the National Thesis Center. The data is SPSS 21. The 0 package program has been analyzed, the frequency and percentage techniques have been used. The results of the analysis show that most of the theses in the field of life knowledge are master theses, most of them are done by female researchers, men and assistant doctors are conducted with the thesis consultants, more theses are done in the universities of the Anatolian region and the University of Gazi is ranked first on the basis of universities. From 2006 to 2011, a concentration of the theses in the field of life knowledge was seen, the thesis jury was usually made up of 3 members and assistant doctors, the headings were between 11-15 words, the theses were mostly between 126-150 pages, the sub-problem numbers were broken between 0-5 and the results were achieved.
