Fen Bilimleri Etkinliklerinin Veri İşleme Becerileri Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokullar için Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından önerilen fen bilimleri ders kitaplarında yer alan fen etkinlikleri ile özel yetenekli öğrenciler için fen bilimleri destek eğitim odası etkinlikler kitabındaki etkinlikleri “veri işleme” becerisi açısından incelemektedir. Nitel araştırma ile yürütülen bu çalışmada doküman incelemesi yapılmıştır. 32 etkinlik ders kitaplarından, 15 etkinlik destek eğitim odası etkinlikler kitabından olmak üzere toplam 47 etkinlik belirlenen kategoriler doğrultusunda kodlanmıştır. Bulgulara göre veri işleme becerilerinden “veri toplama becerisi” etkinliklerde en çok vurgulanan beceri olmakla beraber, verilere dayalı grafik çizme ve yorumlama, tablodaki ilişkileri belirleme ve yorumlama gibi beceriler sınırlı sayıda etkinliklerde yer bulmuştur. Öte yandan, etkinliklerde değişkenleri değiştirerek bir grafiği/modeli yeniden oluşturma ile verilerin sunulurken etik ilkeleri göze alma becerilerine ise hiç yer verilmemiştir.

Analysis Of Science Activities In Terms Of Reasoning With Data

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine the science activities in the science textbooks recommended by the Ministry of National Education for secondary schools and the activities in the science support education room activities book for gifted students in terms of reasoning with data. In this qualitative research, document analysis was carried out. A total of 47 activities, 32 activities from the textbooks and 15 activities from the support training room book, were coded in line with the determined categories. According to the findings, "data collection skill" among the reasoning with data is the most emphasized skill in the activities, but skills such as drawing and interpreting graphs based on data, identifying and interpreting the relationships in the table were included in a limited number of activities. On the other hand, the ability to consider ethical principles while presenting data by recreating a graph/model by changing variables was not included in the activities.
