Abstract:

The four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the process of teaching Turkish as a foreign language are important to be functionally used. The teaching of writing skills consists of certain stages and stages. The writing teaching stages can be classified in the form of alphabet, word, phrase, paragraph and text teaching. The writing process in Turkish teaching as a foreign language consists of stages of motivation and pre-information, examples of text examination, preparation, draft creation, writing by editing, correction and publication. It is very important to give feedback in writing studies in order to improve students' writing skills. The student finds the opportunity to correct his errors by moving from the given turns. In this regard, the main purpose of this research is to determine the impact of conversion studies on the writing skills of students learning Turkish as a foreign language. This study was conducted with 30 foreign citizens who have come to Turkey from different countries and are receiving Turkish education at the Turkish and Foreign Language Teaching and Research Center (SDÜTÖMER) at Süleyman Demirel University. As a measurement tool in the study, Suleyman Demirel University has used the written narrative assessment scale prepared by the Turkish and Foreign Language Teaching Applied and Research Center (SDÜTÖMER). T-tests were used as a statistical method in the analysis of the data obtained at the end of the measurement process. The analysis resulted in statistically significant differences between the two groups for the benefit of the experiment group. This study has concluded that the conversion studies have a positive and meaningful impact on the writing skills of students learning Turkish as a foreign language.
