Abstract:

The aim of this research is to examine the average effect size of the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction in educational organizations using meta-analysis method. In the study, a meta-analysis of the studies between the years 2004-2022 was made. 32 (Ntotal=9482) independent studies were included in the study in terms of the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction perceptions of educational institution employees. The results of the funnel scatter plots, Duval and Tweedie trim and fill method, Orwin Safe N analysis, Egger regression test and Begg and Mazumdar rank correlation method examined for publication bias indicate that there was no publication bias in the meta-analysis study. The Fisher ɀ coefficient was used in the average effect size analysis performed according to the random effects model. In the research; It was concluded that the average effect size of the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction was high. In addition, according to the results of the subgroup analyzes that can explain these relationship differences, the study type and sample group did not make a statistically significant difference in terms of results; however, it has been determined that the year of publication creates a statistically significant difference in terms of results.
