Gazetecilik başladığı dönemden bu yana birçok etik problemle karşı karşıyadır. Geçmişten günümüze kadar gazetecilik, bu anlamda her geçen gün üstüne yeni etik problemler ekleyerek fazlalaşmıştır. Hemen hemen her gazetecilik alanında ve her tür gazetecilik çeşidinde; gerek geleneksel medya gerek sosyal medya olsun, birçok etik problemle karşılaşmak mümkündür. Özellikle internetin günümüzde gelişmesi, gazeteciliğin dijitalleşmesi ardından sosyal medyanın da her alana yaygınlaşmasıyla; internet ve sosyal medyada etkin bir hale gelen gazetecilik, etik problemlerin şimdilerde bu alana da taşınmasına neden olmuştur. Hem gazeteciyi hem okuyucu ve izleyiciyi büyük anlamda etkileyen bu etik sorun uzunca bir süre gerek gazeteciler gerekse toplum tarafından tartışılabilecek, tartışılmaya devam edecek bir konudur. Faruk Bildirici “Günahlarımızda Yıkandık: Örneklerle Gazetecilik Meslek Etiği” adlı çalışmasında bu etik problemlere eğilmiş ve bu problemleri örneklerle açıklayarak pekiştirilmesine yardımcı olmuştur. Gerek gazetecilere, gerekse bu kitabı alıp okuyan her bir bireye gazeteciliğin temel gereklilikleri ve etiklerini kolay bir şekilde anlayacağı biçimde sunmuştur. Yanlış yapılan gazetecilik türleri, yapılan etik ihlaller başlıklar içerisinde kitapta sunulmuş ve yapılması gerekenler de aynı başlıklar altında verilmiştir. Bu makalenin amacı da Faruk Bildiricinin “Günahlarımızda Yıkandık: Örneklerle Gazetecilik Meslek Etiği” adlı kitabının bir değerlendirmesini sunmaktır.
He has been facing many ethical problems since the beginning of journalism. From the past to the present, journalism has been increasing in this sense by adding new ethical problems to it every day. In almost every field of journalism and in all kinds of journalism; it is possible to face many ethical problems, whether it takes traditional media or social media. Especially the development of the internet today, with the digitalization of journalism and the spread of social media in all areas; the journalism that has become effective on the internet and social media has caused ethical problems to move to this area now. This ethical issue, which has a great impact on both the journalist and the reader and the audience, is a topic that can be discussed and discussed by the society for a long time. Faruk declarator in his work "We Was Washed in Our Sins: The Ethics of Journalism with Examples" has tended to these ethical problems and has to strengthen them by explaining them with Examples. The need has presented to the journalists, to every person who takes and read this book, in a way that they can easily understand the basic requirements and ethics of journalism. Types of wrong-made journalism, the ethical violations are presented in the book in the titles and what should be done is given under the same titles. The purpose of this article is also to present an assessment of the Faruk declarator's book "We Was Washed in Our Sins: Journalism's Professional Ethics with Examples".
