MAGAZİN HABERCİLİĞİNİN YENİ PLATFORMU: INSTAGRAM

Bireylerin haber alma ve çevrelerinde olup bitene dair bilgi sahibi olma ihtiyacı yüzyıllardır süre gelen temel bir güdü olmuştur. Modern gazetecilik temellerinin atıldığı 17. yüzyıldan itibaren, belli zaman aralıklarında düzenli bir şekilde yayımlanan ve içerik açısından çeşitlilik gösteren gazeteler haberi kitlelere ulaştırmada önem kazanmıştır. Günümüzde yazılı basın, televizyon ve radyonun yanında çevrimiçi mecralar da haberi kitlelere ulaştırmada önemlidir. Hatta Web 2.0 teknolojisiyle hayat bulan sosyal medya platformları da haberi kitlelere yayma konusunda son zamanların en dikkat çekici araçlarıdır. Zaman içerisinde, ciddi haberlerin yanında gündelik hayatın gerçeklerinden uzaklaşmayı sağlayan renkli haberler de hayatımıza girmeye başlamıştır. 19. yüzyılın sonlarından itibaren tabloidleşme ve sansasyonel habercilik ile magazinleşme ve magazin haberciliği gazetelerde yer edinmiştir. Toplumda ün sahibi olan kişilere ve kişilerin hayatlarına olan ilgi, magazin haberciliğinin ivme kazanmasına yol açmıştır. Magazin haberlerinin özelliği olan az metin ve dikkat çekici görseller, gazetelerin okunurluğuna da katkı sunan içerik türleri haline gelmiştir. Metin, fotoğraf ve video gibi içerik türleriyle haberi hızla paylaşmaya imkan sağlayan sosyal medya platformları, günden güne habercilerin bu platformlardaki varlığını artırmaktadır. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube gibi platformların yanında Instagram da haberciler açısından haberi hedef kitlelere ulaştırabilecekleri bir mecradır. Fotoğraf ve video paylaşma özelliğiyle ön plana çıkan Instagram günümüzde magazin haberciliğinin önemli bir mecrası haline gelmiştir. Instagram’ın magazin haberciliğinde nasıl kullanıldığını ortaya koymayı amaçlayan bu çalışmada, 12-20 Ekim 2019 tarihleri arasında amaçlı örneklem esasına göre seçilen üç hesabın paylaşımları incelenmiştir. Dağtaş (2006: 124)’ın magazin eklerinin içeriğini belirleyen ve eklerde işlenen konuları incelemek üzere kullandığı kategoriler temel alınarak içerik çözümlemesi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda, Instagram’daki magazin haber hesaplarının tüketim ve yaşam biçimleriyle ilişkili olarak en çok “moda olgusu ve görünümleri” kategorisinde haber içeriği paylaştığı görülmüştür.

For centuries, it has been a fundamental motivation for individuals to be informed and learn about the events occurring around them. Since the 17th century, when the foundations of modern journalism were laid, newspapers that were published in certain time periods and diversified in terms of content gained importance in conveying news to the masses. Today, online channels are also significant beside the printed media, television and radio. As a matter of fact, social media platforms that aroused through web 2.0 technology are also remarkable mediums of recent times in spreading news to the audiences. In time, colored news that enables us to depart from the reality of daily life, came into our lives as well as serious ones. Starting from the late 19th century, tabloidization and tabloid journalism gain a seat in the newspaper through tabloid news and sensational journalism. The attention given to those who have reputation in the society and their lives gave acceleration to tabloid journalism. The short texts and catchy visuals, which are the characteristics of tabloid journalism became the type of content that contributed to the readability of newspapers. The social media platforms which provide an opportunity to spread the news quickly with the content types like text, photograph and video increases the existence of reporters in such platforms day by day. Instagram, as well as other platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, is also a channel for reporters in their purpose of conveying the news to the target audience. For today's tabloid journalism, Instagram, which comes into prominence through its photograph and video sharing features, has become a notable channel. In this study, three accounts were chosen through purposeful sampling and their content published between the time period of October 13-20, 2019 were examined with the purpose of revealing how Instagram is being used in tabloid journalism. The content analysis was performed by basing on Dakar's (2006:124) categories, which are for determining the content of tabloid supplements, and also for examining the topics that are discussed in such supplements. As a result of the findings, it was seen that the magazine news accounts on Instagram mostly shared news content in the category of "fashion phenomena and appearances in relation to consumption and lifestyle.
