Söz varlığı içinde yer alan atasözleri, toplumun kültürünü gelecek kuşaklara aktardığı gibi değerler eğitiminde de önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkçedeki atasözlerinde yer alan kök değerleri tespit etmektir. Nitel araştırma yönteminde doküman incelemesiyle gerçekleştirilen çalışmanın örneklemi Türk Dil Kurumu tarafından 2011 yılında yayımlanan Türkçe Sözlük’ün 11. baskısıdır. Sözlükteki atasözleri, öğretim programlarında kök değerler şeklinde ifade edilen “adalet, dostluk, dürüstlük, öz denetim, sabır, saygı sevgi, sorumluluk, vatanseverlik ve yardımseverlik” değerlerine göre içerik analizi ile incelenmiş, ulaşılan bulgular tablo ve grafikler hâlinde sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda Türkçe Sözlük’teki 374 atasözünün kök değerlerle ilgili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu atasözlerinden 57’si (%15,24) öz denetim, 47’si (%12,57) sevgi, 47’si (%12,57) vatanseverlik, 45’i (%12,03) sabır, 42’si (%11,23) saygı, 35’i (%9,36) yardımseverlik, 31’i (%8,29) dostluk, 29’u sorumluluk (%7,75), 21’i dürüstlük (%5,61) ve 20 tanesi (%5,35) adalet kök değeriyle ilgilidir. Her bir kök değere ait atasözleri bulgular bölümünde tablolarla sunulmuş, tabloların altında ilgili kök değeri ve kök değere yönelik tutum ve davranışları örneklendiren atasözleri anlamlarıyla birlikte verilmiştir.
The speeches in the word existence have an important role in the education of values, as they transfer the culture of society to future generations. The purpose of this research is to identify the root values in the Turkish speech. The example of the study conducted by document review in the quality research method is the 11th edition of the Turkish Dictionary published in 2011 by the Turkish Language Institute. The dictionaries in the dictionary are studied by content analysis according to the values of "justness, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect love, responsibility, patriotism and utility" expressed in the form of root values in the teaching programmes, the achieved findings are presented in the table and graphs. The study found that the 374 sentences in the Turkish dictionary were related to root values. 57 of these falsifications are related to self-control, 47 (12.57) love, 47 (12.57) patriotism, 45 (12.03) patience, 42 (11.23) respect, 35 (9.36) charity, 31 (8.29) friendship, 29 (7.75), 21 (5.61) honesty and 20 (5.35) justice. Speechs of each root value are presented with tables in the findings section, and under the tables are given with the meanings of the speechs that sample the relevant root value and attitudes and behaviors towards the root value.
