Bu çalışma, 16-21 yaş aralığında olan Fransızca başlangıç seviyesindeki öğrenenlere hitap eden Le Mag Niveau I kitabında bulunan kelime alıştırmalarını incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada ele alınan Le Mag Niveau I metot kitabı, dil eğitimi ve öğretimi boyunca öğretmenlere ve öğrencilere rehberlik eden işitsel ve görsel birçok materyal içermektedir. İletişimsel yaklaşım üzerine kurgulanmış kitap, öğrencilerin dil seviyesine göre, öğretimin aşamalı olarak gerçekleştirilmesi için sistematik bir yöntem izlemektedir. Her ünitede bulunan kelime öğretimi çalışmaları, gözlem, eşleştirme ve betimlemeye yönelik alıştırmalardan oluşmaktadır. Görsellerle bezenmiş Le Mag Niveau I, öğrencilerin hayal gücünü harekete geçirerek yaratıcılıklarını artırmaktadır. Bununla birlikte, görseller öğrencilere kelimelerin anlamlarını tahmin etmelerine yardımcı olur ve kelime öğrenimini kolaylaştırır. Le Mag Niveau I metot kitabında bulunan kelime öğretimini destekleyen aktiviteleri incelemek amacıyla ele alınan bu nitel çalışma, doküman analizi tekniği ile yürütülmüştür. Bu çalışmada, kitapta bulunan kelime öğretimine yönelik ögeler, alıştırmalar ve bunların ünitelere dağılımı incelenerek metot kitabının, yabancı dil olarak Fransızcanın eğitimi ve öğretimine katkıları tartışılmıştır.
This study was conducted to study the word exercises found in the book Le Mag Niveau I, which addresses French beginner students aged 16-21. The Le Mag Niveau I method book, which is discussed in the study, contains a lot of hearing and visual materials that guide teachers and students throughout language education and teaching. The book, based on the communication approach, follows a systematic method for the gradual implementation of teaching, according to the language level of students. The word teaching works in each unit consist of observation, matching and illustration exercises. Based on images, Le Mag Level I increases creativity by moving students’ imagination. However, images help students to predict the meaning of words and facilitate word learning. This qualification study, which is addressed in order to study the activities that support the word teaching found in the Le Mag Niveau I method book, is conducted with the document analysis technique. In this study, the study of the subjects, exercises and the distribution of them to units in the book discussed the contribution of the method book to the teaching and teaching of French as a foreign language.
