Abstract:

The general purpose of this research is to study the contribution of the Primary School Education Program to the level of commitment of students to the school. In the study, the Non-Equal Groups of semi-experimental patterns used the predest-sontest pattern. The study group included 132 students, including 63 students who participated in the application and 69 students who did not participate. The data were collected using the "School Attachment Scale" developed by Hill and Werner (2006) and adapted by Savi (2011) to the English language. The data collected were analyzed using independent samples t test, dependent samples t test, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) and correlation. The results of the analyses found that students who participated in the application and who did not participate in the application had a significant difference between the levels of commitment to the pre-school and there was no significant difference between the levels of commitment to the school after the application was completed. Students who participate in the Education Program and who do not participate in the school have seen a significant difference between the levels of commitment to the school and the variable of continuity. It has also been found that students with low continuity have a high level of commitment to the school and there is a negative middle-level relationship between students' continuity and their commitment to the school.
