Abstract:

In this study, the course "Psychological Consultancy and Guidance Services (PDR) in Special Education" conducted with the candidates for psychological consultants aims to study the impact of candidates on self-capacity perceptions in special education. In the semi-experienced study, a pre-test, last-test control group (2x2) pattern was used. Participants in the study are candidates for 4th-class psychological consultants studying in the Guide and Psychological Consultancy program in the spring semester 2017-2018 (n=45). 24 candidates who selected the course "PDR Services in Special Education" in the last-class curriculum, 21 candidates who selected another course, also formed a control group. "Personal Information Form" and "Rehber Teacher's Special Education Qualification Scale" have been used to determine the impact of applicants on self-capacity perceptions in private education. In the analysis of the data, "ANOVA for repeated measurements" and t-test were used. At the end of the course conducted by processes such as face-to-face training, school visits, sharing experiences, document examination for 14 weeks, the level of perception of personal education of the candidates for psychological consultants in the experimental group has increased significantly compared to the control group. Candidates for psychological consultants have been presented recommendations for the opening of courses in the field of special education that will qualify for their bachelor's training.
