Yabancılara Türkçe Öğretiminde Yazınsal Metinler: Gazi Üniversitesi Tömer Yabancılar İçin Türkçe Seti C1 Düzeyi Örneği

Abstract:

Türkçenin yabancı/ikinci dil olarak öğretiminde anlama ve anlatma becerileri olarak nitelendirilen dört temel beceriyi geliştirme yollarından biri, ders kitaplarında kullanılan okuma ve dinleme metinleridir. Genelde dil öğretimi özelde yabancılara Türkçe öğretiminde kullanılan anlama metinlerini, özgün (otantik) ve özgün olmayan metinler olarak ikiye ayırabiliriz. Bu metinlerin seçimi ve materyal olarak kullanımı dil öğretiminin temel ilkelerine uygun olarak yapılmalıdır. Bununla birlikte dil düzeyi, hedef yeterlikler, kültürlerarasılık, ölçme-değerlendirme kriterlerine uygunluk gibi unsurlar öğretim materyallerinde kullanılacak metin seçimini etkilemektedir. Dilin estetik kullanımının söz konusu olduğu edebî metinler, diğer metin türleri gibi otantik ve yapılandırılmış/sadeleştirilmiş metin olarak dil öğretim materyallerinde kullanılabilir. Bu eserlerin yazılış amaçları dil öğretmek olmamakla birlikte özellikle orta ve ileri düzeylerde okuma/dinleme materyali olarak kullanılmaları oldukça yaygındır. Bu çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yapılarak Gazi Üniversitesi TÖMER Yabancılar için Türkçe Öğretimi Seti C1 Düzeyi kitabı incelenmiştir. Gazi Üniversitesi TÖMER C1 kitabındaki yazınsal okuma ve dinleme metinlerinden hareketle bu metinlerin hangi dil becerilerinde kullanılması gerektiği tartışılmıştır.

Abstract:

One of the four ways to develop the skills of understanding and narration in teaching as a foreign/second language of Turkish is the reading and listening texts used in the lessons. Usually, language teaching can be divided into two languages, the meaning texts used in the Turkish teaching, as original (otantic) and non-original texts. The selection and material use of these texts must be made in accordance with the basic principles of language teaching. However, elements such as language level, target skills, interculturality, compliance with measurement and evaluation criteria affect the choice of text to be used in the teaching materials. Literary texts concerning the aesthetic use of the language can be used in language teaching materials as authentic and structured/adjusted texts, like other types of texts. These works are not written for the purpose of teaching language, but are very common to be used as reading/hearing material, especially in the middle and advanced levels. In this study, a document examination of the quality research methods of the University of Gazi TÖMER for Foreigners was studied by the Turkish Teaching Set C1 Level Book. Based on the written reading and listening texts in the TOMER C1 book of the University of Gazi, it has been discussed in which language skills these texts should be used.

One of the ways to develop the four basic skills, which are defined as comprehension and expression skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign/second language, is reading and listening texts used in textbooks. In general, we can divide the comprehension texts used in language teaching, especially in teaching Turkish to foreigners, as original (authentic) and non-original texts. The selection and use of these texts as materials should be done in accordance with the basic principles of language teaching. In addition, factors such as language level, target competencies, interculturality, compliance with assessment-evaluation criteria; affects the choice of text to be used in teaching materials. Literary texts, in which the aesthetic use of language is in question, can be used in language teaching materials as authentic and structured/simplified texts like other text types. Although the purpose of writing these works is not to teach language, it is quite common to use them as reading/listening material, especially at intermediate and advanced levels. In this study, Gazi University TÖMER Turkish Teaching Set for Foreigners C1 Level book was examined by making document analysis from qualitative research methods. Based on the literary reading and listening texts in the Gazi University TÖMER C1 book, it has been discussed in which language skills these texts should be used.
