Abstract:

Our attitudes towards anything are a factor that affects our approaches. It is expected that the positive attitude of individuals towards their professions will have a positive impact on their perspectives. In this regard, the attitude of the teachers candidates towards the teaching profession is important. This study aims to study the attitudes of teaching candidates towards the teaching profession according to gender, department, academic average and class variables. The method of research is the scan method. The sample of the study is made up of 305 teachers candidates who study at a state university’s educational faculty and are determined by a simple non-selective sample technique. The data is collected in the scale of attitude towards the teaching profession. Data analysis is the average, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values, independent groups t test, one-way variance analysis and post-hoc. Analysis has been used. According to the research, the teachers’ attitudes towards the teaching profession are low. The attitudes towards the teaching profession differ statistically significantly in favour of class variables 2 classes, and by academic average variables 3,00 - 3,49 to 3,50 - 4,00 groups. Depending on gender and division variables, there is no statistically meaningful difference.
