Değerler Eğitimi Açısından “Arkadaşım Nina” Adlı Çocuk Kitabının İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bütün toplumlarda kendi kültürlerine özgü olan değerlerin sürekliliğini sağlamak ve yok olmasını engellemek amacıyla değer eğitimi hassas bir yere sahiptir. Çocukların evrensel ve ulusal değerlere sahip olması değerler eğitiminin özümsenmesi ile mümkün olmaktadır. Bu sebeple araştırma da, okul öncesi dönem çocuklarına okutulması önerilen “Arkadaşım Nina” adlı çocuk kitabının kök değerlere yer verilme durumunu incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı bu araştırmada, veri toplamak için doküman analizi tekniği tercih edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından 2018 yılında öğretim programlarında öğrencilere kazandırılması için kök değerler olarak belirtilen “Adalet, Dostluk, Dürüstlük, Öz Denetim, Sabır, Saygı, Sevgi, Sorumluluk, Vatanseverlik, Yardımseverlik” değerleri ile ilgili eserde yer alan ifadeler belirlenmiş, ardından bu ifadeler yorumlanarak ilgili değerin başlığı altında açıklanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda; “Arkadaşım Nina” adlı kitabın değerler eğitimi acısından zengin bir içeriğe sahip olduğu, kitap içerisinde en fazla yer alan değerin dostluk değeri olduğu, bunu sırasıyla, sevgi, dürüstlük, öz denetim ve yardımseverlik değerleri izlerken adalet ve vatanseverlik değerlerine hiç yer verilmediği görülmüştür.

Abstract:

Value education has a sensitive place in all societies in order to ensure the continuity of values that are peculiar to their cultures and to prevent their extinction. It is possible for children to have universal and national values through the absorption of values of education. For this reason, the research is also aimed at studying the status of the children's book "My Friend Nina" that is recommended to be taught to pre-school children. In this study, in which the quality research method is used, the document analysis technique is preferred to collect data. Imaginary analysis method is used in the analysis of data. The statements included in the work regarding the values of "Justice, Friendship, Honesty, Self-Control, Patience, Respect, Love, Responsibility, Patrioticity, Assistance" specified as root values to be awarded to students in 2018 by the Ministry of Education, then these statements were explained under the title of the relevant values. The study found that the book "My Friend Nina" has a rich content of values education, the most valuable value in the book is the value of friendship, and that, accordingly, the values of love, honesty, self-control and utility are not given any place to the values of justice and nationality.

For this reason, in the research, it is aimed to examine the situation of including the root values of the children's book called "My Friend Nina", which is recommended to be read to pre-school children. In this study, in which qualitative research method was used, document analysis technique was preferred to collect data. Descriptive analysis method was used in the analysis of the data. The expressions in the work related to the values of "Justice, Friendship, Honesty, Self-Control, Patience, Respect, Love, Responsibility, Patriotism, Benevolence", which were specified as the root values to be taught by the Ministry of National Education in 2018, were determined, and then these expressions were interpreted and interpreted. explained under the heading of the relevant value. As a result of the research; It has been seen that the book named “My Friend Nina” has a rich content in terms of values education, the value in the book is the value of friendship the most, followed by the values of love, honesty, self-control and benevolence, respectively, while the values of justice and patriotism are not included at all.
