Abstract:

Hastanede yatarak kemoterapi ve radyoterapi alan lösemili çocuklarda sıklıkla karşılaşılan ishal, akut dönemde malnütrisyona yol açarak, enerji ve besin ögesi kayıplarına ve iştahsızlığa neden olmaktadır. Bu durum besin alımını güçleştirmekte ve kemoterapiye tolerans azalmaktadır. Bu nedenle lösemili çocukların beslenme durumu tanı anından itibaren ve tedavi sürecinde ciddi olarak ele alınmalı, gerekli immünonütrient ve beslenme desteği medikal tedavi planına eklenmelidir. Bu makalede akut lenfoblastik lösemi (ALL) tanısı ile indüksiyon kemoterapisi alan bir çocuk olguda gelişen febril nötropeni ve gastroenterit tedavisinde beslenme desteğinin önemi tartışılacaktır.
