Bu çalışmanın amacı 0-12 yaş grubu çocuk sahibi ailelerin tatil yapacakları konaklama yerini seçmelerinde etkili olan faktörleri belirlemek ve bu faktörlerin demografik değişkenlere göre karşılaştırmasını yapmaktır. Bu amaçla Sivas ili şehir merkezinde yaşayan, kolayda örnekleme yoluyla belirlenmiş 291 kişi ile yüz yüze anket tekniği ile veriler toplanmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen verilere ilk olarak Açıklayıcı Faktör Analizi uygulanmış ve 36 maddeden oluşan 6 faktörlü bir yapı ortaya çıkmıştır. Ortaya çıkan bu faktörler Çocuk Ekstraları, Güvenlik‚ Çocuk Aktiviteleri‚ İşletmenin Konumu‚ Restoran Hizmetleri ve Genel Konaklama Hizmetleri şeklinde adlandırılmıştır. Daha sonra bu faktörlerin cinsiyet, medeni durum ve tatil amacı gibi demografik değişkenlere göre karşılaştırılmasında Bağımsız Örneklemler T testi kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca faktörlerin yaş, eğitim düzeyi, aylık ortalama gelir, meslek türü, tatile çıkma sıklığı, tercih edilen pansiyon, aracı kuruluş ve ortalama kalış süresi‛ gibi değişkenlere göre karşılaştırılmasın Tek Yönlü ANOVA testi kullanılmıştır. Buna göre faktörler bazı demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaşırken, bazılarına göre ise değişmemektedir.
The aim of this study is to identify the factors that are effective in the selection of the place where families with children from 0 to 12 years of age are going to spend their holidays and to compare these factors according to demographic variables. For this purpose, data were collected with face-to-face survey technique with 291 people who lived in the city centre of Sivas, easily identified through sampling. The data obtained in the study first applied the Explanatory Factor Analysis and found a structure of 6 factors consisting of 36 items. These emerging factors are called Children’s Extra, Safety, Children’s Activities, Enterprise Location, Restaurant Services and General Accommodation Services. The Independent Examples T test was then used to compare these factors according to demographic variables such as gender, civil status and vacation purpose. Furthermore, the factors should not be compared by variables such as age, education level, monthly average income, type of occupation, frequency of leave, preferred pension, facility establishment and average stay time. Factors differ according to some demographic variables, while some do not change according to them.
