Abstract:

In recent years, violence against women has become a growing problem worldwide. The prevalence of violent acts against women has led to the frequent reporting of these events in the written and visual media. The media frequently reports about the violence against women and the murder of women. The study will address the dimensions of the media and the relationship of violence. After the dimensions of the relationship between the media and violence will be discussed the way the violence against women is placed in the media. The study aims to investigate how the media deals with women’s murders. The study will discuss the murders of women on the internet newspapers, and the news of the murders of women on the internet newspapers will be reviewed with a critical look. Study, Hürriyet, Morning and Calendar newspapers on the websites of women's murder reports are examined through the method of speech analysis. The speech analysis aims to show that the murders of women are from a male point of view. In this context, it will be shown in the study that women are informed through the paternal cultural values system. The study studies on the websites of the relevant newspapers the news of women’s murders between 2018-2020.
